The Wild Card Saloon & Casino is Black Hawk’s first-ever casino which opened its doors in 1991. This traditional casino vibe is still held by the property today and it is a far stretch from most of Black Hawk’s modern and impressive establishments. It is one of the smallest casinos offering 250 slot machines and is family-run by Shirly & Ed Inc. who also own the Sasquatch Casino.

Casino Games
The Wild Card Saloon may be a small premise compared to other Colorado casinos, but it is crammed with slot machines. In the casino they have 250 slots and video poker games, starting at $0.01 and mostly aimed towards more frugal gamblers. The slots are known for being some of the loosest in the town and regularly give payouts. On certain days, they also have a big wheel outside the casino which you can spin in an attempt to win more prizes.
Casino Loyalty Program
Although not a loyalty program as such, the Wild Card Saloon does offer a membership rewards program called Player Cards. You can sign-up for a Player’s Card for free and earn points while you play on the slots. These can be redeemed for free food and drink in the Royal Flush Café, free casino merchandise, or prize draw entry. The more you play, the more points you accrue, and the more freebies you win.
Sportsbook Services
Sports gambling is now legal in Colorado! The Wild Card Saloon is one of the most recent casinos to obtain their master license, allowing them to offer sports betting services. The operator has also recently partnered with International Game Technology PLC (IGT). This company will, therefore, be in charge of Wild Card’s sports gambling with their PlaySports platform powering their sportsbook. However, the casino does not offer any onsite sports wagers at present. IGT will also be launching a mobile sportsbook, with its PlaySports platform already powering top provider FanDuel Sportsbook which launched in Colorado on 1st May 2020.
Dining and Bars
The only restaurant at the Wild Card Saloon is the Royal Flush Café. They are open from 8am – 12pm every day and offer excellent prices with most dishes being under $3! On the menu, you will find predominantly sandwiches and a couple of authentic homecooked food options that change every few days. There is also a handy convenience store at the rear of the casino with usual shop prices. This might seem trivial, but most stores in Black Hawk have casino prices and so this is great for if you want to pick up some essentials without a hefty price tag.
Online Gambling
Online casino gambling for real money is illegal in Colorado. Therefore, there is no option to play any of the casino slot machines at the Wild Card Saloon online. On the other hand, online sports gambling is legal in the state and launched on 1st May 2020. However, while the casino has recently had its master license approved legally allowing it to offer sports betting services and partnered with IGT, there have been no steps yet made towards launching their own online sportsbook. Several sites and mobile apps have made their debuts, so take a look at our online sportsbook reviews to get started.
