The Mardi Gras Casino, officially called the Golden Mardi Gras Casino, belongs to the Golden Casino Group along with its sister casinos: The Golden Gates Casino and The Golden Gulch Casino. All three are operated by the Twin Rivers Management Group and are connected by a climate-controlled skywalk. If you are visiting one of the trio ensure you check out all three.
As the name suggests, the Mardi Gras Casino follows the theme of the New Orleans Mardi Gras celebration, oozing French influence. The casino is home to 8 table games and over 420 slot and video machines.

On the first floor of the Mardi Gras Casino, you will find over 420 slot and video machines, ranging from pennies up to larger denominations. Over the three Golden Group Casinos, there are upwards of 650 slots to choose from. You can find classic reels and coin-only slots, up to the most modern games.
There are also 9 table games located on the second floor near the Masquerade Cocktail Bar. Here you will find predominantly Blackjack tables, but also a table for Craps, Roulette, and 3-Card Poker. Although this casino does not offer poker, the sister Golden Gates Casino has an impressive Poker Parlour which can be accessed via a heated skywalk.
Casino Loyalty Program
The Mardi Gras Casino operates a loyalty program that is also valid at the Golden Gates Casino and the Golden Gulch Casino. You can sign-up to be a member for free by visiting the Guest Services Center on the second floor of the casino. Once a member, you earn points by playing games in any of the Golden Casino Group properties which can be redeemed for FreePlay. All points expire after six months, so make sure you exchange them.
Members are also entitled to mail offers such as more FreePlay, cash prizes, bonuses, and free food and drink on their premises. The more points you earn the bigger the prizes. As with most casino loyalty programs, the more you spend the more you get back.
Sportsbook Services
Sports gambling is now legal in Colorado! The Mardi Gras Casino has been awarded its master license and can legally offer sportsbook services. However, the casino has yet to launch these on-site. In the meantime, the Twin River Management Group has joined forces with two leading online sports gambling websites. These are DraftKings Sportsbook and FanDuel Sportsbook and both offer trustworthy and legitimate sports wagers. Dining and Bars
Of the Golden Casino Group, the Mardi Gras Casino is definitely home to the best wining and dining options. There are two restaurants on-site and two bars:
- Bourbon Street Café: Claiming to serve the “best burger in Black Hawk”, this restaurant serves burgers, salads, and fries from 11am – 8pm Sunday to Thursday, and 11am – 11pm Friday and Saturday. They also have a breakfast menu available until 4pm.
- Creekside Deli: Conveniently located on the gaming floor, the Creekside Deli serves breakfast from 9am – 11am, and sandwiches, salads, and wraps from 11am onwards. Grab N’ Go is available.
- Jesters Bar: A 24/7 bar serving a range of beers, wines, and spirits. They also feature beers from Colorado’s Breckenridge Brewery.
- Masquerade Bar: Fancy sipping on a frozen daiquiri while watching live table action? Located on the second floor this 24-hour cocktail bar serves a range of drinks overlooking the table games.
Online Gambling
Online casino gambling for real money is illegal in Colorado and so the Mardi Gras Casino does not offer any online casino games. However, online sports betting was legalized on 1st May 2020. The Golden Casino Group owner, Twin River Management Group, has secured deals with two major online sportsbooks. FanDuel Sportsbook and DraftKings Sportsbook are both currently live in Colorado.
