The Century Casino & Hotel Cripple Creek is one of the town’s largest casinos and is comparable to its sister casino, Century Casino & Hotel Central City. They are both operated by Century Casinos Inc. who currently own eleven casinos and racetracks throughout the US. The operator acquired the Century Casino in Cripple Creek back in 1996 when the property was known as Womack’s Saloon & Gaming Parlour. In 2010, the casino went under a large rebranding and renovation to the Century Casino we know today.
Now, the property is open 24 hours and on the casino’s games floor you will find nearly 400 slot machines and six table games. There is also a hotel and restaurant onsite and a loyalty rewards program for all frequent customers.

Casino Games
At the Century Casino & Hotel Cripple Creek, you will find over 400 slots and video poker machines ranging from the most modern games to classic old-school reels. They also cover a range of other electronic table games such as Video Blackjack and Video Roulette.
The casino is also home to six table games: four Blackjack tables, one Roulette table, and one Wild Six Card Draw Poker table. Several Blackjack variations are available including Buffalo Blackjack and Double-Up Blackjack. The table games are in the Horseshoe Pit which is open from 10am – 2am daily. The minimum bet varies depending on what day you visit the casino:
- $2 on Tuesdays
- $3 on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays
- $5 on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays
Although the Century Casino offers Wild Six Card Draw Poker, as there is no poker room, poker tournaments, or other poker variations, you will have to look to play poker elsewhere. The Midnight Rose Casino is the only casino in Cripple Creek with a poker room, so head there once you have perfected your poker face.
Casino Loyalty Program
Century Casinos have a loyalty program called Player’s Club which is free to join and once a member you are entitled to exclusive offers, benefits, and giveaways. The rewards program works on a points system: points are earnt as you spend money in the casino and can be exchanged for free play, free meals and hotel stays, cash prizes, and other promotions.
On top of this, the casino also runs several weekly events where members can receive point multipliers to get the most for their money. For example, on Mondays, the casino hosts their Half Century Club for members age 50 or older where players earn triple points. On Tuesdays, their Two for Tuesday night open to all members awards players with double points.
The more points you earn over six months, the higher the tier that you sit in. The Player’s Club program has four tiers:
- Gold: 0 – 60,000 points
- Platinum: 60,000 – 180,000 points
- Platinum Pro: 180,000 – 360,000 points
- Platinum Premier: 360,000+ points
The higher your tier, and the more exclusive offers become available. For a full list of all of the promotions available at the different tiers take a look here.
Sportsbook Services
Sports betting is now live in Colorado! As of 1st May 2020, sportsbooks can legally launch in the state given the casino and operators have correct licensing, and several sites made their debut on this day. Both Colorado’s Century Casinos had their sports betting licenses approved back in April and were awarded a total of three, allowing them to offer both onsite and online sports gambling. However, the Century Casino Cripple Creek has yet to launch any onsite sportsbooks.
The casino has partnered with two online operators. They first partnered with Circa Sports who will be looking to launch a website and mobile app later this year. Circa Sports is to be powered by IGT’s PlaySports who are also behind the already launched FanDuel Sportsbook Colorado. More recently, Century Casinos announced a collaboration with Bet365 who are the largest internet sports gambling providers worldwide. Century Casino’s have once license remaining but it yet to be revealed which operator they will secure a deal with.
Hotel
The Century Casino & Hotel Central City is home to an immaculate adults-only hotel with a variety of room choices to choose from when booking:
- Queen: Sleeps 2
- King: Sleep 2
- Double Queen: Sleeps 4
- Suite: Sleeps 2-4, depending on the room booked
All rooms have complimentary Wi-Fi, flatscreen TV, and pillow-top mattresses. The suite rooms are the most luxurious the property has on offer with extra living space and additional features such as glass showers, dining tables, and fireplaces. Not every suite room comes with all amenities, so ask when booking to ensure you get the room you want. Many of the rooms also have views looking over the mountains and the historic town of Cripple Creek.

Dining and Bars
There is one restaurant at the Century Casino Cripple Creek called the Mid City Grill. The restaurant has a relatively relaxed atmosphere and is a perfect place to wind down. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner with their highlights being fine steaks, burgers, and sandwiches. Different weekly specials are also up for grabs and they run several weekly restaurant offers:
- Seniors eat free on Mondays & Wednesdays
- Burger and French fries for $2 on Tuesdays from 11am – 10pm
- 50% off one menu item on Thursdays from 7am – 10pm
- $15.95 T-bone steak on Fridays
- $16.95 prime rib on Saturdays
Alongside the Mid City Grill, there are several bars on the casino floor open 24 hours per day. They are located right in the heart of the casino action so you can grab a quick drink, head back to your slot, or watch your favorite sports team on one of their many TVs. They serve a range of soft and alcoholic drinks along with exceptional cocktail service. Bar snacks such as hotdogs are also available if you want to grab a bite without missing any of the action.
Online Gambling
All forms of online casino gambling for real money are illegal in Colorado. Therefore, there are no forms of online slots, poker, or table games offered by Century Casinos. Any online casino websites accessed from inside Colorado, regardless of their claims of legitimacy and trustworthiness, are illegal.
On the other hand, online sports betting is now legal in Colorado and went live on 1st May 2020 after a public ballot narrowly passed in November last year. Century Casinos have so far partnered with Circa Sports and Bet365 to bring online sportsbooks and mobile sportsbook apps to Colorado. However, due to the global pandemic causing holdbacks, neither of these sites have yet been released. We should see these apps enter the Colorado gambling scene later this year.
